| We are very excited to announce our next open house “Peridot” on June 29th, 2008. It will be an evening to remember here at Suite One Hundred. The summer sun will be smiling down on our herb and flower garden terrace, and sparkling off of the azure Commencement Bay seen from our panoramic view.
Although we are known for our love of throwing a great party, and of course pretty sparkly things, we are happy to include in this open house our appreciation for the environment. Like the gemstone highlighted in this open house, we are using this as an opportunity to showcase the need in every industry to “Go Green.” We are lucky to live in a region where food grows in abundance. In an attempt to lesson our carbon footprint, we will be using primarily locally grown foods, taking advantage of all of the wonderful organic farms in the area. We will also be featuring vendors that have abilities to help you make your event more “Green.” We look forward to seeing you there!

| Over 150 guests found out that you couldn’t find a better venue for an event called “Aquamarine A Spring Open House” than A Grand Affaire’s Suite One Hundred, especially with its 180 degree view of Commencement Bay and blue sky peaking through the clouds. Add to that the blue hued décor provided by AA Party Rental, Linens by Alice and Hardcastle Entertainment Lighting, this special Sunday, April 13th event was one not to be missed. Just back form a Mediterranean vacation, Chef Caroline infused the menu with an assortment of dishes from the region. Guests were treated to, among other things, the very popular tray passed Mediterranean Vegetable Cakes and Orchard Grape Bruschetta. There was also a Mediterranean Tapias Station featuring Pork Souvlaki and Horiataki Salad. The theme continued with a Customary Dinner Buffet that had such sumptuous items as Antipasti Crudités, Chicken Divan and Italian Stuffed Flank Steak. Accompanying this fabulous repast was wine and beer provided by Ken Clifton’s Vin Infusion and such signature cocktails as ‘Hypnotized by the Sea’ and ‘Aqua Rita Fizz’. Luscious and moist cakes contributed by Celebrity Cake Studios, along with Suite One Hundred’s signature ‘Suite’ station was enough to satisfy anyone’s sweet tooth. Our thanks to all the vendors mentioned above as well as Arthur Murray Dance Studio (for a lively dance demonstration), Bride by Demetrios, Coat Check Complete, Heather Hope Design, J. Creates Jewelry, Black Tie Espresso, Gotta Dance Productions, Hartman Photography, Illustrations in Ice, J. Robbins florist and Lipsology for once again creating a truly remarkable event!”
[Suite One Hundred is located at 29 St. Helens Avenue, in the Commencement Terrace Tower, in Downtown Tacoma, near Stadium High School]

| Red, red everywhere!! That’s what greeted nearly 200 invited guests as they entered the Burke Museum on the University of Washington campus on January 31st as they experienced “Garnet” A Winter Open House. Corporate and bridal prospective clients alike were treated to complimentary signature cocktails by the Great Nabob Bar Catering , such as the Pom ‘garnet’ Cosmo, as well as tray passed hors d’ oeuvres of Coriander Carrot Soup and Polenta Squares. Then they could choose to hit either the Fondue Action Station, with four different dipping sauces highlighted by the VERY popular Prawns Martinique! Or, they could avail themselves of the Classic Supper Buffet, featuring Chef Caroline’s newest creations: ‘Caesar Goes To Paris’ Salad and Blackened Salmon Alfredo. [Of course, many chose to do both the Fondue and the Buffet] Those that managed to save room for dessert were delighted by the moist and delicious cupcakes of Sugar Rush Bakery. Our thanks to all our vendor partners, including Abbey Party Rentals, BBJ Linen, British Motor Coach, The Burke Museum, Dani Weiss Photography, Illustrations In Ice, Kent Floral, Molly M. Renko Design, PNTA Lighting, Totally Tabletops, Two Sisters Event Planning and Wavelink Music who helped in creating a memorable experience! |
